چکیده

eratomas are neoplasms derived from germ cells with omponents of the three embryonic layers (ectoderm, mesoerm, and endoderm), that occur in any age group but re more prevalent in childhood, and have no gender reference.1,2 The lesions can be benign (mature, dermoid, nd cystic teratomas) or malignant (immature and solid tertomas), and can affect any structure in the midline).1--3 The linical presentation varies according to the lesion size and ocation.1 Imaging studies are useful to show the location and xtent of the lesion and to aid in clinical management. arly diagnosis and treatment with excision of the lesion re necessary for a favorable outcome.1,4,5 In the present report, the authors describe a case f nasopharyngeal teratoma, emphasizing diagnosis and reatment-related aspects.
